Vision Teams for The South Sound Church of Christ
The Goal:
To create inclusive and sustainable vehicles to address and respond to the recommendations for growth and improvement as addressed by outside consultation and within our membership.
Function:
Each Vision Team will be tasked to come up with recommendations for the leadership based on group discussion, research, and input from a variety of sources.
Make Up:
Each Vision Team should ideally consist of:
Up to 8 members of diverse backgrounds including
Team Captain (Facilitator)
Note Taker
A Staff Consultant (offer assistance and support as needed but not necessarily at each meeting)
8 Week Commitment 1 hr. Per week. Your meeting day/time can be decided in the group. At the end of 8 weeks, present results from team to staff (even if that means the group needs more time)
Vision team suggestions (we will only have 3 Vision Teams operating at any given time):
Cradle to grave- how to close the gap between teens and singles? How do we create a bridge for them? This group would talk specifically about this scenario but then be able to address all phases of life.
Volunteerism- How can we engage volunteers? What are the greatest needs and where do we need people to fill in the gaps? How do we create a space for people to volunteer?
Racial and cultural unity- How to create a greater unity across racial and cultural differences?
Building Fund- Many contributed to a building fund and we haven’t been able to discuss what to do with this money since we haven’t been able to use it.
Communication: What can we do to improve our communication?

*Building Fund and Volunteerism will start when other vision teams have ended. We will do regional vision teams as well. The regional Vision Teams will include Evangelism and Discipleship.
